If I've had symptoms since Monday, but only tested positive today after testing every day since my symptoms started, when is my day 0? Is that today or Monday?

Day 1 of testing positive

Jules912 · 10/03/2022 14:11

Officially I think it may depend on what your symptoms are but I'd say Monday.

Scottishgirl85 · 10/03/2022 14:17

Symptoms starting. Just isolate until you test negative and don't worry about counting days. It's all just guidance now and we need to apply some common sense. Before long we won't be testing anymore.

MoiraNotRuby · 10/03/2022 14:19

Day 0 is today.

MadeForThis · 10/03/2022 14:46

If you tested because you had symptoms then day 0 is your first day of symptoms.

If you just tested and got a positive result with no symptoms then day 0 is the day you did the test.

Definitely had symptoms when I first started testing! I was crying out for a Lemsip cause my throat was so sore and itchy!

It's definitely the Monday. My daughter had it just 3 weeks ago and they took day 0 as day of symptoms ( including non official symptoms like headache) rather than when the lemon 🍋 decided it might be a idea to test a few days later
Best wishes
