Is this a line?

I think yes. My DH thinks I am paranoid and unless it is a neon bright line it does not mean anything. Hmm

It's actually more obvious in real life, but this was the best photo. It belongs to DS1 whose best friend tested positive yesterday. His best friend who he is joined at the hip with and who drape themselves over each other like puppies.

Is this a line?

Yes def a line. How does that make you feel?

SleepingStandingUp · 09/03/2022 18:36

Oh I didn't read it all and thought you were pregnant.

SleepingStandingUp · 09/03/2022 18:36

Oh god multitasking, I thought it was a pregnancy test and only rad the first bit as it was so obv positive

Imthecaffeinequeen · 09/03/2022 18:37

Yes, looks like it. That's how my DDs looked in the morning, tested again that evening and 2 blazing lines!

SummerHouse · 09/03/2022 18:39

Yes there is definitely, definitely a line. DH is A) in denial B) delusional or C) needs glasses. Why can he not see it. Especially given the close contact (which sounds adorable) you would surely be half expecting a positive.

Caaarrrl · 09/03/2022 18:40

No doubt at all that it's positive. Your husband is wrong when he says it has to be a dark line. Any line, no matter how faint, is positive.

SnowFoxWinterFox · 09/03/2022 19:12

sorry- posted 3 times accidentally!
Anyway now DH has the hump. Fucker.

OP posts:
EllaPaella · 09/03/2022 19:15

Yes it's a positive test and will probably get darker over next few days. Why has your husband got the hump??

clarepetal · 09/03/2022 19:17

Hell yes

Hasselhoffsheadband · 09/03/2022 19:17

🤣🤣🤣

Sorry, this cracked me up that you thought she was pregnant- before I read your next post I was like 'wuh?' Grin

Hasselhoffsheadband · 09/03/2022 19:18

Yes, that's defo a positive. Your DH sounds like mine, in denial right up until the test lights up like a Christmas tree!

SnowFoxWinterFox · 09/03/2022 19:19

Oh because he is annoyed that I said it was, and he thinks it is not and people are agreeing with me. Apparently I am unbearable to live with due to covid anxiety. he can fucking fuck off right now tbh.

thing is, even if it is a positive it makes no material difference to our lives (unless serious illness occures) because we work from home, have food in and have nowhere to go or places to be.

I had a faint line like this, then tested the next day and the next - nothing. Then the following day another faint line, then after that nothing.

Did I have covid? - who knows? The two faintly positive tests were from one batch, the negatives from another - a duff batch?

SnowFoxWinterFox · 09/03/2022 19:25

@SleepingStandingUp

thankfully not. :) (way too old. Too tired and too pissed off at DH to contemplate such horrors).

My DS sometimes gets faint lines on a particular brand of tests, when we've followed them up with a PCR or another brand of test they've always been negative, even after an extremely close contact. We try not to use that brand anymore. His lines are fainter than the one in the Op though.
MadeForThis · 09/03/2022 19:35

Positive. It will be darker tomorrow

Which brand? Some people say that the 'original' LFTs with the flimsy throat/nose swab aren't as accurate but I don't know if this is true, as when I had it they gave me as positive a result as the other types of test.

The flowflex ones, which is annoying as he likes them better than the nose and throat ones ( which are apparently too scratchy even if we just do the nose).
gamerchick · 09/03/2022 19:45

Yeah that's a positive test. Sorry man. Hope it's not a rough ride.

SnowFoxWinterFox · 09/03/2022 19:48

Thanks @gamerchick DS is CV with a range of stuff going on with him. I have been in a state of anxiety for 2 years in case he got it. No symptoms at all aside from he said he had a headache in music today. But it was a drumming lesson.

DD had this line last week on an NHS nose and throat test, blazing positive the next day on flowflex (confirmed by PCR). Be careful later on when you test to release as she had a line like that again towards the end on NHS test but still blazing positive on Flowflex so didnt know what to think. On day 7 we were meeting friends and asked them of they would prefer we do the test that would probably make her negative by that point, or the one that might make her positive Grin

DialsMavis · 09/03/2022 19:53

Sorry, I hadn't seen your message about DS being CV, hope he sails through it and has some excellent immunity afterwards

SnowFoxWinterFox · 09/03/2022 19:57

Thanks. :) fingers crossed.

An update. Like everyone predicted the line was a bright pink today. DH is a little sheepish. Ds is bouncing around the house in a state of joy he is not at school. I tested negative this morning but am starting to feel a little headachey and ill. DH has also started to go downhill but he is not testing by choice until the weekend because we need more lateral flows. But we are all isolating which is blessfully easy as we wfh.

Thanks everyone for support when I was cross and worried last night. x
