Blood in mucus

Hey. I tested positive on Saturday. I just brought up some mucus and it was streaked with blood. Is this something I should be worried about? Apart from a lot of congestion and runny nose I'm feeling ok.

My DH had this too last week due to covid cough. Dr Google says it's probably ok if bright red blood and it doesn't continue for a long time. We found it happened a few times in the morning, but then stopped and it didn't happen again. But it is pretty shocking when you're a normally healthy person and you're coughing up specs of bright blood! As with any health stuff though, if it doesn't stop quickly and you have concerns, call the NHS covid helpline and they will help guide you with what's normal and what not. Hope you feel better soon. X

Thanks @Bunn56 thats reassuring. I'm feeling ok no trouble breathing or anything so I'll keep an eye on it. My GP is pretty good about call backs so I'll contact them if I have any issues. I hope your husband is ok now x
