Swabbing only one nostril LFT does anyone know?

I need to take a LFT but I have had a nose bleed from one nostril. Does anyone know if a test would work if only one nostril is swabbed? I’ve googled but can’t find anything about this eventuality. TIA

It's certainly worked ok on my children. They would never allow the second nostril once the first had been done!

Yes it's fine, the leaflet says you can just swab one nostril if you have a nose piercing, so it will work.

The current set of LFTs we have asks for swabs from only one nostril, but you also have to do a back of the mouth/throat swab.

Urgh, the leaflet also says if you have had a nosebleed to use the other nostril - not sure how I missed that Blush

The leaflet says only one nostril needed. For best results do try and do throat too. I had negative LFT with just nose but the strongest positive when I did both an hour later.
I only tested because I had a very slight cough and was going to a day out. I'm not sure what made me redo the LFT to include throat swab but I'm glad I did as I feel awful and would have hated to be the reason others felt like this!

Thanks so much. I just couldn’t find anything to say it’s ok to do the one.
