Fourth dose side effects

I had my fourth jab yesterday morning and I feel absolutely horrendous, even worse than I did after my first (AZ). Was ok after my second AZ and my third (Moderna) but had Pfizer this time and I have a really upset stomach, flu symptoms, aching joints, headache, the works. I wasn't expecting to feel so rotten - I stupidly thought my body would be used to 'it' by now! I've also had Covid three times (I've LFTd yesterday and today, both negative, so I'm pretty sure it's not Covid yet again and just side effects).

Did anyone else find they felt worse after their fourth than previous doses?

We are having 4 jabs now?

Yes, if you're one of the 500,000 CEV who need them - three primary doses and a booster, then regular boosters.

It has always been a primary dosing schedule of three jabs + a booster for people with certain conditions.

The general population will (probably) be offered an annual booster going forward, doesn't mean you have to take it up though.

@CIaireFraser sorry you're having bad side effects!

I have heard that a recent previous infection tends to result in more side effects with vaccination as your immune system is already prepped to generate a really strong reponse, which is what results in things like fevers and aches. So it's possible with several previous infections you're having this kind of response?

I hope you feel better soon.

@henlee thank you! That's actually really reassuring - I'm immunosuppressed so the vaccines aren't likely to work as well for me. The possibility that my body is mounting any kind of response is brilliant! After four jabs and three infections I'd hope to be superhumanly immune Grin
