Yesterday, Day 8, I was still positive. Hoping for a negative result today.

Everyone's different, my son only tested positive for about 4 days, me 7 and my husband was about 10!

HalloHello · 06/03/2022 07:27

Going to keep an eye on this. My daughter is day 8 and still positive. I have obviously been isolating with her and I tested positive yesterday so potentially another 10 days in the house for me. I am SO fed up.

I don't know how I feel about this given legally we no longer have to isolate.

I felt like I was coming down with a cold last weekend (DS and DH had just had colds, both consistently tested negative), and then heard of a few cases at work, so Monday afternoon tested, and got an immediate positive.

It's been a pretty mild head cold for me, but I'm still testing positive (day 5 yesterday if positive is day 0, although arguably I had 'symptoms' earlier), haven't tested today). I feel absolutely fine, and it feels weird to still stay at home.

I'm not allowed back to office until 2 consecutive negatives, but can work from home, so it's not a problem. But I've got a super busy week next week, and would really like to just get back to normality. Would you head out if feeling fine??

Day 7 and 9 here and both still positive.
Having said that we have been really unwell certainly not mild cold symptoms. It's been awful.

HalloHello · 06/03/2022 11:01

@emmastone We are in Scotland so do have to legally isolate currently. I suppose you have to do what work say 🙈 my whole family have had it previously and were all still positive on day 10!

@aardvarkitsbloodyaardvark sorry you have been unwell!

@EmmaStone: no, I would follow the guidance and stay at home until 2 negative LFTs, as otherwise I’d pass it on to others, the guidance is pretty clear, and the LFTs tell you if you are contagious or not

I don’t think going out and about where you will meet others when you have a contagious disease is very considerate of others

Just tested negative today, so fingers crossed normal business will be resumed on Tuesday.

Hoping everyone else recovers quickly.
