Are my children able to go to school if I had covid which is gone?

I tested positive last week and tested negative on day 5 and 6 and I’m on day 7, still not feeling great but tests are negative. My children didn’t test positive how ever they had symptoms. They were tested a few times each over the week as mine took a while to show positive. So I’m assuming they just don’t have covid which is strange as they had the same symptoms as me and I was positive for covid. So since they haven’t tested positive and I’m now negative and school goes back this morning are my children allowed to go to school? Or is there still a chance they have it and the tests are not showing it?

They can go back to school. Hope you feel better soon

Yes, it's fine.

They could have even gone to school when you were positive, bizarrely.

It’s been half term for the week and my kids are due back today but the school haven’t emailed about the new covid rules which I find odd since they emailed about the construction work and to be carful around school grounds. But when I got my posting covid test I got a text from nhs saying my test is positive and to stay home and keep other house hold members home and away from anyone who’s high risk.

If they had symptoms did they have PCR tests or just LFT?

They can go if they're negative.

They can go if they're positive, but it is not advised.

They have had lfts and pcrs but my lfts didn’t show a positive until 5 days in and I didn’t know they were covid symptoms I thought it was just a cold so when my lft came back positive I sent off for the pcr then that was positive I done lfts on everyone in the house I was the only one testing positive but then my children showed signs of this cold too same as I had so I ordered pcrs for everyone and they were all negative this was Wednesday…. It’s got me so confused at how I had covid and they didn’t but had the same symptoms as me and thought maybe it was too early to pick it up on the test yet like how mine took 5 days of being poorly
