Is this positive?

So I took the lateral flow on the left this morning stupidly right after eating chocolate and after leaving it a while I looked and could see a faint line.
Took another an hour later and it's the test on the right.
I have no symptoms.
Any chance the one on the left could be a false positive due to eating chocolate right before?
It's the throat and nose style tests.
Anyone had similar?

Left text was at 7am then just did the one on the right

My first line was barely discernible. PCR sent off at the same time came back positive and strong positive LFT the next day. I think if you can see a line it’s positive.

The chocolate could have affected it, they tell you not to eat or drink for half an hour beforehand for that reason. I'd do another one this afternoon or tomorrow to be sure though.

The line on my positive one was that faint. But you have to disregard it due to the chocolate.

Why did you test?

If you’ve got close contacts then fair enough. Just test again tomorrow.

She hasn't she's taken 2 but sort of makes you glad people will have to pay for them now.

My mistake - I seen four photos while scrolling and assumed it was all OP. I’ve seen so many threats with people saying they’ve tested numerous times a day…why?

Testing without symptoms is bizarre to me. Would you also (if possible) test for a flu/ chest infection/ chicken pox etc if you didn’t have symptoms?

Just to add I only tested because we have just returned from an abroad holiday and been with hundreds of different people in close contact for the last week so just thought I would test in return.

If they're 15 min tests you need to read after 15 min. If you leave them longer any faint line you see isn't reliable. I don't think that's positive.
