Fit notes - so confused

Hi I've had covid and my isolation note has run out. I could work from home for some of it. Once I get to day 8 of not working I'm not covered by the isolation note but everything I Google tells me not to ask the GP for a fit not but to use 111 the only thing I can find there is the isolation note. What do you do once you go past the isolation note date but are too sick to work?

I might just phone the GP don't want to get told off by the receptionist for wasting time though

I am wondering the same. My isolation is up tomorrow and i still feel awful. My employers wants me back in work on friday
