Conjunctivitis covid symptoms

I have had conjunctivitis since Friday after staying in a hotel last week.
I blamed it on the pool towels.
It's damn painful.
On Sunday I went to boots to get some cream but it's made no difference whatsoever.
My eyes are so sore like full of grit.
Weeping pus and swollen.
This morning I woke up the same with a splitting headache and started coughing.
I tested positive instantly.
I have no other symptoms except ti's very severe case of conjunctivitis.
Is it a known symptom?

I think it was first time round but not heard it spoken of since. As I think I had it. I also had something like a nail infection "covid finger" but maybe these things were coincidence or the body being run down fighting covid!? Others in my house had no symptoms!

I'm just getting covid and had conjunctivitis towards the end. May have been coincidence.

I had this when I had covid - was cleared up by antibiotic drops. Hope you feel better soon - would ring GP/nurse for advice.

I had very itchy/stingy eyes at one point when I had it (near the start) but not full on conjunctivitis.

My DS has got Covid at the minute and also has conjunctivitis - I think it's linked.

Yes it is - was the only symptom my dc had the first time they had covid.
