Horrible back pain

I’m day 5 of covid, the normal covid symptoms have been absolutely fine. Just a bit coldy.
Around day 2 I started to have lower back niggles, over the last few days it’s become absolute agony. All around my lower back, pelvis and hips. I’ve also got vague period pain type feelings (period finished a week ago, so it’s not that).
It’s the kind of pain that makes you think something is seriously wrong so I’ve convinced myself it’s late stage cervical cancer or something 😳
I think I’m just after some reassurance that this is a normal covid symptom and will go in a few days and I’m not about to die!

I had a UTI which spread to a kidney infection when I had Covid. I rang 111 who sent me to urgent care for antibiotics (I was just out of the isolation period).

I would ring 111 for advice. There are clinics who can assess people with Covid if they have symptoms which need investigating. Also, when I had a chest infection with Covid during isolation 111 arranged for my pharmacy to send me antibiotics (I'm asthmatic).

Yep, my DD really suffered with kidney infections when she got covid. I also had a mild infection.

I've also been in agony with my lower back and legs. Apparently it can be quite common in covid as it causes inflammation which pressures the sciatic nerve causing a lot of discomfort. I started with the niggles on about day 3, by next day it was really bad. I'm day 8 and it's still very sore at night but easing up now. I was getting the periody type pelvis pain too with mine which has gone in past couple of days.

I also had lower back pain, it eased off day 5 and was gone by day 6.

I did have UTI symptoms which started 5 days before the kidney infection but I only realised it was a UTI on the Saturday. Kidney infection symptoms began on Monday afternoon (it was a bank holiday and I'd been planning to see my GP on the Tuesdsy but ended it up in urgent care before then).

The first time I had a kidney infection I had no UTI symptoms at all. I just woke up vomiting in the early hours and couldn't eat or drink without vomiting. Saw a GP around 5pm and got antibiotics. I was told it would have been hospital if I had waited until the next day as I was becoming dehydrated.
