Covid symptoms after isolation and negative tests

My DD tested positive for covid last friday - she had a bit of a cold but otherwise no other symptoms. She was getting very fed up and bored as felt well. Tested negative yesterday and this morning although she woke up this with a sore throat and headache has felt off all day - she now has a temperature but is testing negative (have done 3 tests). I don't understand she was so excited about freedom day!!! Is this after effects of covid or has she been unlucky to get another virus but don't know where from as she hasn't left the house for a week!!!!

I had Covid before Christmas and was actually most poorly on around day 10-15. Unfortunately I think it’s just part of Covid and the recovery from it, which can be up and down.

Hope she feels better soon.

Isn't the advice still to keep isolating if you have a temperature?

So she’s now on day 8, which for some people around this time symptoms can get worse, but could also mean she maybe has a throat infection or tonsillitis. Can you check her throat to see if she has any white spots on her tonsils. If she has she will need antibiotics. Otherwise call GP or 111 if no better by day 10, or if you are worried.

Mine has had 6 viral infections since sept. Two have been COVID19. Had it confirmed with PCR tests. But they say because we’ve been out of circulation so long the only her bugs are getting as bad. Covid is more drawn out though. Hoping dd will have it milder this time.
