Negative PCR on Monday. Should I test again.

DP tested positive on lateral flow on Monday, PCR on Tuesday, positive result on Tuesday night. I was offered a PCR too at the test centre even though I had no symptoms and a negative lateral flow. My PCR result was negative. But, today I've got a sore throat, a tingling nose and a bit of a cough, so possible symptoms. If you were me, would you just keep home testing or book another PCR even though the last one was only yesterday? Is it too soon for another PCR?

I would keep doing lateral flows and order a home pcr

Thank you. I never thought of that. I'll order one now.

I did a PCR on a Friday evening as my son tested positive. It came back negative. I developed symptoms on Sunday morning, less than 48 hours later. That one came back positive. LFT done on Fri, Sat and Sun were all negative. I didn’t actually test positive on a LFT until 3 days after the positive PCR.

I think it’s worth doing another PCR

I've ordered a home test. Definitely have symptoms that I didn't have before.

I'm not too bad, thanks. Just like a heavy cold. 🤧
