I thought 99% cases were Omicron now (can't remember where I heard that). But I can't find any data. I am coming towards the end of isolation and very definitely have massive taste and smell changes. It's the most unpleasant symptom
yet. But everything I read suggests that Omicron usually doesn't cause this synptom.

Thanks! So it looks like it's pretty much all Omicron now. Anyone else having extreme taste/ smell change?

We did with omicron but after10 days. I don't think I logged it on T and T it was so late.

@Mymincepie I do. I had a glass of Coca Cola last night. That tasted strange.

I have just recovered from covid and I lost my taste and smell for 2 days. Pretty sure I had Omicron. DP didn't lose his!

In January we most certainly had omicron as 5-6 weeks prior we also tested positive, so that must’ve been delta. Anyway out of 5 of us, only one dc had lost taste and smell both times, so in our experience yes it’s less common with omicron, but can definitely still happen.
