Do I test DD?

Help! I’ve lost track of the rules and don’t know what to do. DD (3) tested positive for Covid on a PCR on 24th Jan. one of her symptoms was a cough which has never gone but over the past 24 hours it has got worse again and she has developed a temperature. She was sick last night too which she was when she first had Covid symptoms. Should I be doing another PCR or are you not meant to test within 90 days? So confused, could this be Covid again?

Yes if she has new symptoms you should test again

A pcr may show up the old virus though so I'd do a lateral flow first as they don't show the old virus

@superstar84 thank you that’s what I needed! Now to have the battle of testing a 3 year old!

It could be a chest infection if her cough has got worse and she now has a temperature. Maybe ring the GP. Hope she gets better soon.

You can test if you develop new symptoms! Dd had covid twice in a month!! First time from me and dp and the second time after outbreak in her school!

Hopefully she's negative op 💕
