HELP - COVID pass cancelled, supposed to be travelling on saturday.

We are supposed to be going to mainland europe to see DHs family (first time in 2 years) at half term. I had Covid starting wed 9th. LFT +ve. had to have PCR for work, also positive. Looked at my covid pass for travel today and its been cancelled. Does anyone know how long it takes for a covid pass to be reinstated post covid? Or can I get another government test and if its negative its reinstated or do I need to get a PCR for travel? thank you.

Normally you have to state you haven't had/been in contact with Covid for 14 days before you travel. Which country are you going to?

FawnFrenchieMum · 14/02/2022 12:15

I think mine came back on Day 11 after my positive test.

AnyFucker · 14/02/2022 12:22

Your covid pass will come back at the end of the 10 day period. There will be a date on it informing you when that will be.

Getting more tests will make no difference. The early release if you get consecutive negative LFTs on day 5 and 6 is for local isolation purposes, not for travel

Tigerblue · 14/02/2022 14:43

I tested positive on 3 Feb. My covid pass was back last night (13th).

Cookerhood · 14/02/2022 14:57

If that's the case you pass should be back on Saturday. Fingers crossed, but check the entry requirements for where you are going (maybe 2 weeks since positive test or PCR negative, or something).

user1471439240 · 14/02/2022 14:58

Its 10 days. Although if you previously save it to your Apple wallet, it can remain valid up to a month from save date

Cookerhood · 14/02/2022 14:58

Did you report the positive LFT or will the pass take the date of your positive PCR?

BuanoKubiamVej · 14/02/2022 15:19

It's cancelled today as you are still within the 10 day period - what date is your travel booked for? You can start doing daily LFTs to see if you can get a negative to end your isolation early as far as the UK current rules are concerned, but that's irrelevant for overseas travel. Even if your covid pass is reinstated, an individual country can have its own rules about how long must have elapsed since a positive test, so check with that country's government website.

I have a trip coming and if I test positive on lft I won't register it. I don't want them to cancel my covid pass. I will isolate though.

AnyFucker · 14/02/2022 20:01

If you are isolating then you won’t need your covid pass

Watapalava · 14/02/2022 20:21

The covid pass is deleted for a lot longer than the isolation period

That’s the issue

OnlyAFleshWound · 14/02/2022 21:54

So is that why you were giving the op detailed advice on how to fake her covid test?
Watapalava · 14/02/2022 22:11

Most people with positive lft will be flying now!!!

Now confirmatory pcr are not required and double vax don't generally need tests to travel, do you really think people are cancelling holidays- risking loosing thousands for positive lft? Not in million years!

That ship has long sailed!

Watapalava · 14/02/2022 22:12

I know 3 people this week alone who flew positive

No one cares anymore its naive to think otherwise

Only - you know next week role are legally allowed to do this? Best start getting used to it

Palavah · 15/02/2022 09:17

You may be allowed to leave, you may not be allowed to enter the destination.
Veryvversatile · 15/02/2022 09:37

@OnlyAFleshWound that is a bit harsh no? This will be the norm soon.

People who are not ill but may be positive are going to be in society, operating as normal. Actually, this has always been true since the start, but we don't realise it.

That poster was deleted last night for telling the op in detail how to fake a negative test. Nothing to do with operating as normal
