How long are PCR results taking in your area?

I’m impatiently waiting for a PCR result. Can anyone tell me how long they have been taking over the last week or so? TIA

DD had one last Monday and it was 20hrs. She had it first thing and the message came through in the early hours.

Took test Friday morning at 11am, result came through at 3 am Saturday morning

Thanks. Its only been 14 hours (we’ve previously had them back in 12 hours) so it’s too early to be worried that they are taking too long but we are supposed to be having some work done in the house tomorrow.

They're taking about 15/17hrs here in Cardiff at the moment.
The results always come at 5 past the hour without fail for me, so if they're not in my inbox at 5 past I chill out and wait for the next hour.

36 hrs in the highlands.

South East, I did mine at 10:30 AM via drive through and has the results by 11 PM the same day.

20 hours here in the NW.

South Wales, half seven last night, result at six this morning.

It’s arrived. Negative. 16 1/2 hours - pretty good. Unfortunately she had been up for most of the night so we won’t be going anywhere today. Maybe just back to bed after the school run.

It must be the time that our local lab releases our results. Ever since the beginning of pcr testing to the public in 2020, our results have always come through at 5 past the hour. Helps me to not obsessively refresh my email every five minutes!

West Midlands...

I handed mine in on Sat am at 10.10 and got the results by 15.10. I was amazed!

They said that they could take up to 72 hours (if I got to 5 days I should ring 119) but would more than likely be back in six hours.
