Covid symptoms

I am a hca that has been lookibg aftsr covid residents last two year's with different outbreaks in our care home, most recently last two weeks, i have had my booster so not to worried about thst.
But today i have woke with sore scratchy throat and runny nose and sneezing, done two lft and both negative. Alot of our staff have had covid and hasn't been picked up on routine lft, only when we get weekly pcr. I am unsure what to do, do i ring my boss tomorrow and explain to her and see what she says, obviously i will do another lft first.
I can't understand why the lft aren't picking covid up.
I have the symptoms but before covid i would of just gone with a cold and carried on as normal.

I am the same,, I have symptoms, positive pcr but never had a positive lft. I am on day 6 from pcr.

I haven't had a pcr yet, but both lft was negative today, do i mention anything to my manager yet as i am due back on shift on Tuesday, do i need a pcr or do i carry on as normal if negative lft.

You know full well you need a pcr. Book one immediately for first thing today and you'll likely have the result in overnight before your shift. I woke up Thurs with the smallest of sore throats and a bloated nose, having sneezed a couple of times the day before. Super feint but positive lft so booked a pcr for 9.30 that morning, positive came in overnight at 1am. You're might well be negative, who the hell knows anymore, but you'll only know if you do the test.

The nasal only LFT are not as good at detecting omicron. You can do a throat swab and then use the nasal lft the same way as the throat/nasal lft. But it’s still winter and there are other ‘bugs’ around too.

Did an lft this morning and came back positive so have let work know and sent in my pic of pcr, today i feel like crap, whole body hurts and feels like flu

Three jabs and still feel rough god knows what would happen if we didn't have the vaccine

DD symptoms for 3 days (headache sore throat tired) negative LFTS. better day 4 tested positive! Week later. Me symptoms for 2 days, negative. Day 3 positive. So symptoms before positive tests for us. DD fine now, I've feel like the worse head cold ever and tired. Can manage about 2 hours up sitting around before I need bed again. I stayed off work as soon as I felt rough because DD had just had it and I figured it was a bit of a coincidence for her to have it and then a week later for me to get a normal cold and it not be covid . Glad I did or I'd have been spreading it about for 2 days before my positive test.
