I feel like a ticking time bomb.... so 3 of my dc have all tested positive for covid in the last 2 days, now my dh turn this morning... I feel at this point I can't escape it! I've had a dry cough since Monday but negative Pcr and LFTs
Praying I escape it!! Any one been in this situation that can give me hope :)

I feel like that about our family. We're the only family I know who hasn't had it. I dont know how we've dodged it for so long.

Good luck, I know lots of people who haven't caught it when it's been in the home.

I feel a bit like this. Everyone around ds and I seems to have had covid, most recently a step sibling and parent. 90% of my work colleagues have had it. I test us with ltf's regularly, when possible, and we seem to have somehow dodged it so far.

mamatro · 11/02/2022 09:45

We were feeling the same, we've all been a close contact quite a few times and nothing. Even when my dd tested I thought ok it won't spread that fast... it's like wild fire in the house! Luckily everyone is feeling ok mainly headaches sore throats and temps. Fingers crossed for you and your family :)

Honestly don't know how I'm not positive yet!

This happened with one of my children.

Dc1 tested positive
2 days later me and DH tested positive

Then a full 6 days after me and DH, DC2 has tested positive Sad

Ginger1982 · 11/02/2022 09:50

DH and DS both had it beginning of December. DH and I wore masks around the house, slept in separate rooms and tried to keep apart. I didn't distance from DS and I never caught it. You just don't know.

mamatro · 11/02/2022 09:53

I've not distanced at all, even been sleeping with my little one as she just wants snuggles constantly bless.. time will tell hey. Fingers crossed 🤞

Same here! Our daughter 7 tested positive this morning, wanted cuddles all night although you’d not be able to tell there’s anything wrong with her now Smile we’ve avoided it so far over the last two years as far as we know (or at least have never tested +) Know of at least 5 others who have tested positive in the last few days who haven’t reported their positive test results so guess numbers are way higher than our ‘Govenrment’ report every day Hmm

mibbelucieachwell · 11/02/2022 10:35

My understanding is that the triple vaccine give some protection against getting it.

Some people are thought to acquire (temporary) immunity from covid through the T cells they've made as a response to a previous coronavirus infection that wasn't sars covid 19. Their T cells seem to recognise the covid virus.

Fingers crossed for you @mamatro

After being one of the few households with kids that I know not to ever have Covid, one of my kids tested positive yesterday. Now we are just waiting to see how many of the rest of us get it!

SunshineMoon100 · 11/02/2022 10:53

This was us until Monday. It came and found us ConfusedConfused

HunkyPunk · 11/02/2022 10:58

I’ve dodged 4 bullets over the last year with close family members, 3 in my household. I had negative tests (LF and PCR), no symptoms etc. Keep wondering where’s the one with my name on it!

1dayatatime · 11/02/2022 11:14

That was also me until this morning when I tested positive. I feel completely fine with a bit of a sniffle and had been looking forward to isolating in the spare room, having meals brought to me and working my way through various box sets.

Unfortunately though it looks like the next 5 days will be spent tidying the house and laundry after the carnage and empty meal trays left by my DC over the last 8 days.

I think I suddenly need to feel "a lot" more ill. Smile

mamatro · 11/02/2022 13:39

Oh wow I spoke to soon!!! I've just tested positive too!! Maybe I jinxed it!! Oh well at least we all have it now and not one after the other.

I hope it continues to be very mild for you.
