Just a moan.
In December DS2 off preschool for a week with a tummy bug. Back for less than a week then preschool closed for a week due to lots of staff having covid. Opened for a few days then closed again due to covid then closed for Christmas break. In January DS1's class closed for a week due to being riddled with covid. Now DS2 has covid and has been off preschool all this week, won't return til after half term.

I'm a single mum and every week I get anxious about what this week will bring childcare wise. I'm extremely fortunate to wfh and have a very flexible job and understanding boss but I can tell that my colleagues are losing patience with me. Feel like I've barely done any work lately. No idea how other parents are managing and I don't think our situation has been that bad compared to others.
2 years in and wfh while juggling young kids has been my norm.
I'm completely shattered.

Feel free to join me with similar woes.

Sad

That sounds really difficult. It's hard to make any plans isn't it because there are so many variables every week. I only have one child, so God knows how single parents with kids in multiple childcare settings cope. Hats off to you! I'm glad your work is understanding I think that's worth a million. Hope things even themselves out soon.
