We all had covid in December, mildly.

Dd got it again a month later after an outbreak at school. The rest of us missed it that time.

I literally couldn't deal with covid again for the third time in a couple months. Not worried about the illness, we were fine. More so the isolation and testing with two dc with special educational needs. 😪

Dp and Dd had close contact with a relative at the weekend. The relative has tested positive today but has felt a bit off for a couple days apparently (so say Tuesday 2 days after contact) with negative lft's up until today.

If they had negative lft's for the 3-4 days after contact what's the likelihood they were contagious to dp and Dd at the weekend?! They had pretty close contact, in the same house, Dd cuddled them etc.

They work in a school, so a possibility they picked it up there since Dp and Dd seen them! 🤷‍♀️

I just can't deal. I'm not anxious about getting the ill like above, just the whole isolation thing. I have a lot on at the minute! Important appointments for ds etc, we don't want to miss!!

Has anyone had very close contact with someone and not caught it?!

So, so many people don't get it even with a positive case in the house. This person may well not have been contagious at the time. You have not long ago had it. I really, really think the odds are in your favour.

Thank you. Hope so! We all had it in December then Dd again, couldn't believe it. She had no symptoms for the first time so maybe didn't build enough immunity then was exposed to 25 kids in her class with it. None of us got it when she had it again!

I sound hysterical but it couldn't be a worse time for us is we got it again 😪

I know a lot of close contact cases who have not developed covid. I wouldn’t worry about it until it happens especially since you probably still have antibodies. Good luck
