2 positive 1 negative LFT

Hi, so I started with a sore throat late Tuesday night. Did a lft yesterday morning (nose lft) negative. So I did one this morning (nose and throat lft) which was very faint line for positive, followed by a negative one (nose only) so I then did another nose and throat lft which was faint positive.

Ovbiously I haven't gone to work today due to two of them being positive.
Anyone else had this? Just wondering what I should do?

If you have had 2 positive LDFs then you are highly likely to have covid.

Get a PCR to confirm? I did. Isolate in the meantime

Probably very recent after infection and the virus is only concentrated in the throat for now.

You need to follow the guidance for people who have a positive test for covid. You tested positive. You have a sore throat which is an omicron symptom. What’s the dilemma? Confused

There is no dilemma. I'm not an idiot, I am following the guidelines, I don't need someone to tell me this.
I was clearly wondering if anyone else has had results like this. You don't need to reply like that or at all really.

My understanding was that Omicron was often detected in the throat first rather than the nose which makes sense given your results.

You literally asked “just wondering what I should do”.

The answer is to follow the guidance for having a positive lft result.

There is no question here. You have covid. Follow the rules and isolate. Lateral flows aren’t very reliable - hence the false negative.

I got the same. Started with a sore throat. 2 positives and 1 negative. But my DD had COVID do the chances are if caught it from her. Self isolate. No need for a PCR and you wouldn't qualify for one anyway
