Post-covid headaches

Is this common? Had covid about 3 weeks back, but left with these awful lingering headaches. Every single day I’m taking paracetamol. The headaches won’t go away without them!

Anyone else? And if so, how long did it go on for?

I've had a bit of a sore head, but I've not needed paracetamol. I am drinking much more than usual and it seems to help.

Yes, me. Lasted about 2 weeks

Yes, been negative for 1 week, still tested positive on day 14. First symptom was headache and I wake up every day with it on the top/front of my head. I’m taking paracetamol but it does nothing. I took some Tesco nighttime cold relief type tablets a couple of nights ago which seemed to work but back to full blown headache today.

Yes I've got this although I think it's waning. I googled at the time and there's info on the nhs website. Re painkillers, it did say they shouldn't be more than 3 times a week and that more often can exacerbate the problem - I think that's a more general thing as I've had the overuse of paracetamol as a cause of headaches before.

Use ibuprofen instead of paracetamol. The latter doesn’t really do anything. Ibuprofen is anti inflammatory and targets specific areas. Try it and you’ll see a difference likely immediately. My husband keeps trying to use paracetamol for headaches since that’s what he was raised to do. After a few hours in pain I come along and give him a couple ibuprofen and his headache is gone within 20 to 30 min.

I'm at 5 weeks now and still awful headaches. (Plus brain fog and dizziness .)
I'm finding it increasingly difficult to deal with as it's lasting this long.

As JingsMyBucket, try ibrupohren. I've always used paracetamol for headaches in the past but with post covid headaches ibuprophen seems to work better but can take longer to work, which suggests to me that it is inflammation related👍
