I’ve had Covid twice now. The first time my 9yo developed a temperature and a cough so I took him, his brother and myself for a PCR test. I’d been struggling with stomach cramps and diarrhoea since the day before we tested but I had no other symptoms. The next day I get a positive result through but both dc negative. I’m pretty sure they both had Covid and they just weren’t letting me swab them properly though. Then again around new year I got stomach cramps and diarrhoea. I very rarely get this, probably less than a dozen times in my whole life so I did a LFT which was negative. I went for a PCR and again it was positive and a couple of days later dc started to show symptoms and also got positive tests.
Is this unusual? Google suggests that stomach cramps can be a symptom but it isn’t one of the main ones. It also seems strange that I had no other symptoms whatsoever, not even the slightest tickle in my chest or the smallest change in temperature. I’m triple vaxxed, all with Pfizer.
I’m having a panic as I’m supposed to be going on holiday in a couple of weeks and I’ve been having stomach cramps all day
. There’s absolutely loads of Covid at dc’s school but I thought as I’d already had it twice and we’re all pretty careful that I’d be ok. I’ve done a LFT which is negative but I’ve never once had a positive LFT even after getting a positive PCR.
It’s probably something else, right? Please say it’s something else.
