I’m on day 3, unvaccinated. I’ve got diarrhoea now Sad and still feeling a bit nauseous on & off, it comes in waves. Body aches still here and now very blocked up and sinusey.

I spoke to a paramedic at the weekend. He said that was a common symptom of omicron v2.

Harecaughtinheadlights · 07/02/2022 18:53

What’s v2? Is that another variant?

My sons got shocking diarrhoea with delta last year.

MadeForThis · 07/02/2022 20:34

Omicron has mutated and there is a second variant.

HumunaHey · 07/02/2022 20:49

Yes I got a bout of diarrhoea. Thankfully it didn't last as long as my other symptons and passed after a couple of days.

Herald44 · 07/02/2022 20:57

Both my kids had it a week ago and both had diarrhoea. Didn't last long. Pretty sure I've got it now though still testing negative despite 4 days of fairly mild symptoms - sore throat, blocked up, headache. How long did it take for you to test positive OP? Also unvaccinated.

Hb12 · 07/02/2022 22:05

Yes I did, for the first day or 2.

mulberrybag5 · 07/02/2022 22:17

@Herald44 I’m not boosted but took me 3 days to test positive

Herald44 · 07/02/2022 22:23

Thanks @mulberrybag5. I've actually just looked at this morning's test and there is line. So I'd say I'm on day 4 of symptoms but 1 following test. Did you have similar symptoms before testing positive?

fizzyfood · 07/02/2022 22:28

I had an off stomach for a few days and felt nauseous constantly for three days.

Rosebuud · 07/02/2022 22:33

There is a sub variant of omicron, but that’s normal, viruses mutuate all the time, it’s not a variant of concern. And they think it’s the same as the first variant but so few people have it it’s hard for the scientists to know.

Of the omicron main variant, then I had it and yes bad guts was an issue, and I’m vaccinated. It’s very common, don’t worry.

countrylady2 · 07/02/2022 23:23

I had diarrhoea the first 2 days.

We had Covid a year ago. Gastric issues have always been one of the fairly common symptoms. DH and I had diarrhoea and nausea and loss of appetite.

I know 2 people who needed hospital treatment for the vomiting they had.

Try and drink plenty of fluids and rest.
