My son tested positive on Friday (was v for 24hrs but fine now - still isolating obvs). I am still testing negative. I'm thinking, if I was going to catch it I would have done so by now? Anyone got experience to share?

Sorry. My DH was exposed on Thurs, tested positive on Sat evening. I didn't test positive until Weds pm. Our DS tested positive yesterday.

I tested positive 9 days after my son.

😒 looks like it might happen (was feeling a bit smug I'd escaped it!)

Sorry. I caught it on day 10 from the last person in my house being infected and day 14 from the first person.

Well my child tested positive a week ago. My daughter, who shares the same room, tested positive yesterday. It took a whole week. I on the other hand have tested negative and we are now on day 8 of the original positive test. Ive just done another test and its negative, as is that of my son who has tested negative all week too.

This is the exact question I wanted to ask! Could I still possibly catch it? Looks like it. We are on day 8 of the original positive and day 1 of my dd catching it yesterday.

A week between DD and DH testing positive.

A colleagues family all had it. She didn't come down with it until the day after her son finished his isolation (back when it was 10 days). Sorry! Fingers crossed tho, I've heard of many not passing it on to family and I've somehow escaped when most of my class got it.

I think the average time for the second person to catch it is 5 days later but it can be up to 10.
