Is this just odd timing or an immunity thing?
Tested positive 28th, still positive. Today I have cystitis. Cough much better, no temp now but absolutely exhausted.

My daughter tested positive on Thursday (day after her 17th birthday 😩). She woke up feeling like she had a uti coming on and noticed a bit of blood when she had a wee. After calling the doctor's to arrange an appointment, I asked her to take a lft as she also had a headache and feeling sick, and knew we'd be heading to the surgery soon. We were very surprised to see an instant positive on the test.
Later her urine went dark red.

Did they prescribe anything or just the cystitis sachets? Presumably she couldn’t attend drs.

I've known a lot of people report infections, often colds but including UTIs very soon after Covid. People's immune systems seem to be depleted after and suceptible to anything latent emerging that their immune system had been repressing.

I've had mild bouts of cystitis over the winter and hadn't previously had it in many years. I had my booster in December and Covid 2 weeks later, although looking at my running log, it seems to have started prior to that (I remember a sluggish run when I just wasn't feeling bouncy)

No, we did a consult over the phone and they prescribed some antibiotics for her. I picked them up for her and sent in a sample. The results aren't back yet but she's feeling a lot better so I assume the antibiotics they gave her have done the trick.

She's tripled vaccinated and just has a mild cold. I think most of her symptoms have been to do with the uti.

Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks! Drs closed here and I’m back to work on Monday. Drinking loads of water and some of those sachets. Fingers crossed that does the trick.

I did, but I do get cystitis a lot anyway. What was unusual was it went away on its own (with me drinking a lot of water and camomile tea) when usually it takes antibiotics.
