Nose and throat LFT

Hi, I have done this test this morning, the old LFT and I noticed the test line appear immediately on it so
I thought it was a positive result for me to check 10 minutes later and it has disappeared. Is this common on these tests? Could it be a faulty batch? This is the first time I’ve used the nose and throat in a while and can’t recall this happening before?
I’m taking daily LFT as I’ve been a close contact to a positive case

This happened to me with the nose and throat one too. I then tested negative on the next 2 tests, so I think it was just the dye settling.

I'd do one again this afternoon - let your body have time to build up whatever has been scrapped away by your first test.

Will do! Thank you! This is the picture, the dye was still running but not used to these tests, usually have just the nose ones! May not be able to see the line but it was Definitely there and clear!

I've never had a line appear until this week. It was so weak I'm not sure anyone else would have noticed, but DH at home with covid and I haven't been well for a couple of days. Did another one four hours later and a slight grey line. Only did it go bright red the next day.

I’ve got a slight cough and feel tried, apart from that I’m okay! I’m only testing as I’ve been identified as a close contact at work! I’ll test later today and see what happens!

If you’ve got a new cough, can you not go for a PCR instead?
