Flowflex LFTs

Has anyone who’s ordered LFTs recently received flowflex ones? For the past few weeks we’ve gone back to receiving the older style ‘NHS’ branded tests. I much prefer the Flowflex style and I’m wondering if this is a temporary change or if it’s just going to be the older style ones from now on?

The throat ones are more accurate for omicron so that could be why, although where I vaccinate they were doing nose only with the original ones last year

Oh that’s interesting. Someone else mentioned that to me this week come to think of it. Mind Flowflex have been accurately detecting covid for us this week.

Yes old ones.

They ran out before Xmas, so DH and I were joking they had to go to the back of the warehouse and dig the throat ones out...

On the accuracy my throat LF negative- and I clearly have it as two in my house have tested positive and my pcr was positive yesterday.

Following with interest. Keep being sent the old ones but prefer flowflex. Flowflex were very accurate for us when we had covid a couple months ago!

DH currently has covid and flowflex showed positives for him whereas the ‘old style’ ones all negative

Same here. Flowflex was the only one to detect positives. But we didn't get any when we ordered recently.

We got four old ones today.

Flowflex can absolutely be used for throat however, and it’s given so many people I know better results than just the nose.

The old ones are, in hindsight, so much smaller and harder to see

Same here. Both picked up our covid, but the flow flex are more user friendly so I miss them…

We had flowflex ones last week at school so they are still out there. Interestingly this week flowflex picked up Covid (nose only) days before the old style nose and throat.

No I've been sent the older style for the last two and I have picked up from two pharmacies and they were all the older style. The second chemist had a massive stock of the older ones. I don't mind but it is more annoying due to the 30 minutes development time rather than the 15.

The older ones have all picked up the positives and continued to do so for DD after day 5 turning negative today.
