I'm day 7 with covid and although you TK yesterday I felt find last night and all of today I am shaking, aching but cannot stop being sick also with the runs (sorry TMI I know Blush) I feel utterly awful I can't even keep water down. I've just tried to take some tablets and water and straight away threw it back up. My stomach is burning and I've got awful acid reflux. Has anyone else felt this way with covid? Or has any tips I could use to help me stop being sick or keep something down. Thank you

Can you get hold of some Buccastem from the chemist (via a friend/family obviously).. they are anti-sickness tablets you place under your lip & it dissolves slowly. So you don’t actually swallow anything to vom back up! They are over the counter, usually used for migraine. I find them fairly effective for migraine sickness & I’ve used them when I’ve caught a tummy bug from the kids as well!

The upset stomach at the other end, you are best to let run it’s course. But no harm in trying to stop the vomiting! At least then you can get some fluids down!

Hope you feel much better soon!

Try gaviscon for the acid reflux. You might find that persists a while after the sickness/diarrhoea (which for me passed quite quickly).

I had the D&V too. For me it was the first symptom (a week ago). Vomiting lasted a day or so but the D bit is still here! It's really rough - you have my sympathy. Agree with previous poster, really worth trying some Buccastem for the nausea. Hope it passes soon

Thank you so much for replies. My dad is going to call at pharmacy today and pick me some buccastem up. I feel shocking I thought I had gotten off lightly until yesterday, thanks again for the advice. X
