What day did you test negative?

I have covid and we have a family holiday booked on my Day 9.

In Scotland we isolate for 10 days unless we get 2 negative tests on Day6 & 7. I'm not sure of the rules in the rest of the UK.

My question is: if you've had covid, when did you start testing negative? It feels relatively mild, if that makes a difference.

Mine was mild but still positive on day 10 - sorry I know that’s not what you want to hear!

moirarosebabay · 02/02/2022 16:31

I was positive on the Tuesday and negative on the Saturday. Went for a run on the Sunday and was faster than usual. Feeling very fortunate. Hope things are just as soon for you. I was so scared of getting Covid but wouldn't have noticed I had it as was only just a bit tired.

shivermetimbers77 · 02/02/2022 16:32

I wasn’t negative until day 10 but my son was day 8…

CovidCycle · 02/02/2022 16:43

DDs just got her first negative on Day 9

Not had my negative yet but only day 5, hoping I'm negative tomorrow and Friday or Friday and Saturday

ArachnidArachnid · 02/02/2022 16:47

I’m sorry to say I only tested negative on day 13. Not what you want to hear I know. Is the holiday abroad?

Tulips21 · 02/02/2022 16:49

Day 6 I was neg.
In wales its 5 & 6you need to have 2xnegs from or day 10 you can stop isolating.
My son was positive Sat Pm, neg today

Birdkin · 02/02/2022 16:50

Day 5 for me, and my initial positive was very strong.

JanuaryBlues84 · 02/02/2022 16:53

7 days for me. Really mild symptoms

thaegumathteth · 02/02/2022 16:58

I have covid now - still positive in day 6, dd has tested negative for the first time today on day 8.

crochetcrazy1978 · 02/02/2022 17:14

Day 9 first negative for me, same for my husband and daughter

TankFlyBoss · 02/02/2022 18:33

Day bloody 12

ShakespearesSisters · 02/02/2022 18:38

DD2 day 8, DD1 day 9, DH almost invisible day 9, so day 10. Me day 13 and still positive but very faint now.

MeridasMum · 02/02/2022 18:39

Thank you all.

A bit of a mixed bag then. I already knew that I suppose. I'm just looking for a miracle!

Some of you have really given me hope though.

I got a very strong positive within a minute on LFT (twice), still awaiting PCR results but I have no reason to doubt it'll be the same outcome.

I don't feel TOO bad though so hopefully it'll go quickly

Very faint line on day 7, then negative on day 7 & 8.

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 02/02/2022 19:36

Ds is on day 3 (first + on Sunday which I believe counts as day 0, he had symptoms for a week beforehand though I think was a cold) and his was so faint today that I thought it was negative at first. Really had to look to see it. I imagine it will be negative tomorrow

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 02/02/2022 21:21

I was negative day 5 and 6. DD day 7 and 8. I had it in November as well though.

Level75 · 02/02/2022 21:24

DD was negative from her second test (technically day 1 as the day she get the positive is day 0).

RG2468 · 02/02/2022 21:25

Day 9

bluechameleon · 02/02/2022 21:28

My negative was day 12, DH and DS were day 7.

geillisduncan · 02/02/2022 21:35

Day 12.
