How long before taste and smell returned?

Day 6 since testing positive(Omicron)
Day 3 of no taste and smell.

How long before your senses returned?

Me- About 5 days of no taste at all
Then 2 weeks of everything tasting completely wrong (toothpaste like soap, wine like cleaning fluid.. )
Then 4 weeks of slowly getting all remaining taste back

DH - never lost it

I’m on day 13. It’s beginning to come back
Not quite there. Still a funny taste in my mouth and super thirsty.

I felt I lost the taste at the front of my tongue. Still had it a bit, very muted, but at the back of my tongue. I could tell it was hot and sweet and after really trying and blowing my nose, I could mildly taste hot winter ribena. Funny

Still waiting for my smell to come back .. had covid in October 🥴 it’s like 30% back, not sure if I’m hopeful it’ll ever fully return!

My taste is fine thankfully, probs not 100% due to the lack of smell but enough to continue to enjoy my food!
