Sigh.

Many many of dds friends both in school and in their sports clubs are all testing positive. Dd1 had throat/headache/snot so we have been testing a lot. Everything negative. I also have symptoms but neg lft.

Dd2 feels totally fine. Her bloody test came up positive but with 40 mins not 15 (it was left on the side). Re tested immediately and it was negative.

I have ordered pcrs but given dds dodgy positive and the massive amount of positives in their group (literally both of their best friends plus at least 10 others and their teachers) what do we think? I was due to go back into the office this week but I think this may not be the week.

Negative

Negative. I had this happen to me last month and my PCR came back negative.

I’m now positive and my lateral flows turn positive immediately.

If you have symptoms you shouldn’t be doing lateral flows but a PCR, lateral flows are for A symptomatic people. PCR should be taken with any symptoms p.

My son had a negative this morning before school, I went to him it after he'd left about 40 mins later and though there was a faint line. Phoned school went to get him snd he did another which came up positive straight away!

If you have symptoms then do a LFD first. If that come up positive then it's covid so there's no point doing a PCR. If the LFD is negative however, you should still get a PCR to confirm.

Thanks everyone

Pcrs coming today. I feel rubbish in my normal coldly way so hopefully that's it but am going to give the office a swerve just in case. They won't want my cold in any event.

So it was a positive as was I. Dd1 still negative on pcr despite symptoms but we think maybe she had it and got the pcr too late as I have the same symptoms as her.
