PCR wait times?

What are the wait times like at the moment? I had one last month and it took almost 3 days to come back. I already know it is going to come back as positive as I’ve had multiple positive LFTs and I feel shocking but just wanting confirmation really.

I had one on Saturday and it was 10 hours. I’m in the SE

Wow that is fast. I’m in the North West so not sure I’ll get mine back that quickly.

I couldn’t believe it!! I don’t think it’ll be that quick if there’s a next time!

In November we had a response within 12 hours; just done one again this morning and hoping for a similar response time!!

I took mine 10am on the monday it was back by 8.00am the next day . Less than 24 hours. I think the notification is quicker if they're positive tests

Why did you get a pcr if your lfts are positive?

Because I’m symptomatic and the rules state you need to take a PCR if symptomatic.

I also need official confirmation for work. I can’t work from home so need “proof” otherwise I won’t get paid time off. Anyone can say they’ve got a positive lateral flow.

My son had one yesterday. Results took 12 hours. We're in Northern Ireland

Tested at 0900 on Sat, results back at midnight that day. North West.

Looks like the wait times have improved since last month. Fingers crossed I hear by tomorrow.
