Has anyone’s little one had spots with covid?

My 18 month old tested positive on Saturday. He’s had a bit of a temp that comes down with calpol and he’s a bit off his food, but otherwise seems happy and ok. He’s got a few of these spots on his face, and more the same in his nappy. Are they linked to the covid or something separate?

They don’t seem to be bothering him as far as I can tell.

We’re all positive at the moment so I can’t take him anywhere to get checked out.

There is such a thing a covid rash, but could be that he’s just ua bit under the weather. Although it doesn’t look like chicken pox, my neighbours children have this at the moment.

My baby had a rash of spots all over that I was expecting chicken pox but a week later she tested positive for Covid so could be linked!

My daughter has had this on one cheek since we all had covid, I assumed cold weather but maybe it’s linked 🤔

You can get a rash with almost every virus, when there were younger mine would regularly get diagnosed with a "viral rash" and they come in all flavours.
From what I can see that looks very much like a chickenpox spot, not saying it is, one of mine had just a few spots like that on a regular basis when they had a viral infection

My dd8 has covid and a rash so could be. Viral rashes are common.

My DS6 had a facial rash from covid - I posted about it at the time (December) - GP I spoke to told me he'd seen it a lot.

I’ve tested positive so I’m asssuming my 4 month old is positive too. He has a spotty face so I’m thinking there could be a link.

Thanks everyone. He does tend to get spotty rashes with infections / viruses (he’s had a few ear infections etc so far).

He’s sill looking perfectly fine (apart from turning his nose up at my cooking), so I’ll just keep an eye on him and see how we get on.
