Day 6/7 (Scotland) Question

Hi.
If we first had symptoms on Wed and tested postive Wed evening, can we leave isolation on this Tue morning if we have had negative tests on the Monday and then Tuesday?
Brain fog is real and I’m questioning myself!

I’d say so. Wednesday would be day 1 so day 6 would be Monday with day 7 Tuesday. If your LFD is negative Monday and Tuesday with the tests being 24 hours apart to can leave isolation according to the government rules.

Thank you! So if we do a test Monday 7am then Tuesday 7am we are ok to go out that day?

Yes. Brain fog is awful ☺️

Thank you! Was lying in bed questioning it and going round in circles with DH about it (he was correct! 🙄). An outside answer is most appreciated.

I never actually got to the bottom of this, the guidelines did not really clarify. As it happens it was irrelevant as I still tested positive on day 11 let alone 7 but at this stage I'd say do whatever you feel is right. No one is checking

Neverfittedin85 · 29/01/2022 08:53

The day you test is day zero

@Neverfittedin85

The day you test is day zero
T&T told me the day you test positive is day 1.
