Omicron after Delta - gone negative really quickly!

Just wondered if anyone else has had similar experience.

I had Delta last year. Poorly for quite a while, very fatigued but all recovered. I was double vaccinated before this.

An outbreak at work and a close contact of 3/4 confirmed cases. I tested positive on 2 LFTs. Felt really hot and have been very tired just before positive.

Tested again 36 hours since first positive and …it’s completely negative??

Anyone else turned negative this quickly? Was it a false positive or is this how re-infection works?

I had a very very faint line Wednesday am so retested Wednesday PM and line was much darker. Line this morning was barely visible! Testing out of curiosity now and will wait it out until day 5 and 6! First time having Covid too

First time that I know of anyway!

It's more likely your negative was a false negative.

I’m still testing negative but extremely fatigued today

Have had several negatives.

Take it easy in your recovery, your body has had a shock fighting it off. During my first bout it took me ages to feel better even though I was negative on day 5.

My colleague had one positive LFT. She had to get a PCR due to the job she does, which came back positive. Her DH and DSS have tested positive since, the later doesn't work or go out elsewhere, so you can only assume her positives were correct.

Update - I’ve just tested positive again. Faint but there. Glad to know I wasn’t imagining it but fed up at the same time!
