First symptoms?

For any one who has had it what were your first symptoms?

Stinking cold that arrived and developed from nothing to a full on sneezing, snotty event within 2 hours. 24 hours later the temperature and cough arrived. LFT was still negative until 36 hours post first symptoms. I was going to get a PCR once the temp arrived but felt so awful that didn't bother and then just went from LFT results. DH started with a slight cough/tight chest feeling.

I started with a dry feeling in my throat and upper chest, but not dry as in thirsty.

For my husband it was a sore throat.

Yes I have a sore throat right now but my friend said not to do an LFT yet because the results might not be accurate

Sore throat started a few hours ago so should I take LFT on Monday then? Thanks for replies

Runny nose sore throat, general body aches

Just to add, when my husband’s symptoms started he did two LFTs using just the nasal swab and got negatives. We were dubious, hence why he did two, because I’d already tested positive and I’d read on here that someone had swabbed their throat instead so he did that and got an immediate strong positive.
Had he not done that he’d have gone into work as normal.

Swollen glands in my neck.

Sore throat, I started with this on the Thursday but didn’t test positive until the Monday, then came a cold. I’ve been really lucky!

Phlegm cough, waking with a sore throat. I tested negative in the morning then positive in the afternoon.

15yr Yr old DS had a scratchy throat. Faint line on LFT. Next morning full blown thick red line. He's been snotty and his sinuses ache.

He's on day 6 and not had any of the outdated 3 original symptoms. Still had a strong red line today. Double vaccinated.

This is interesting! Lots of covid in my class atm. Woke up dizzy and exhausted, and developed a sore throat over course of day. Did a lft this morning and another after work but negative. Will maybe test again in a day or 2

Headache and dry throat.. Followed by temp, rash, on and off chesty cough, coldy.. Very faint line to start with, when just a dry throat. Then only when beginning to feel better a dark line. My dh had main symptoms and negative lft, but positive pcr.

If you’ve got symptoms I would check with LFT regularly. DH’s changed from negative to positive within a few hours.

My ds had red eyes and a snotty nose. He was completely fine in the morning and came home from school like it.

I've got the same red eyes, a bit of a snotty nose and feel generally unwell. My lft results are negative and I'm waiting in pcr results. Tbh I gag so much I don't think I do the throat swab enough so I'm treating myself like I'm positive. Ds is positive, dd is still negative.

Nausea followed a few days later by vomiting 😩 cough followed the day after vomiting stopped

I sneezed twice the day before a positive LFT. About 12 hours after the positive I got a scratchy throat and a runny nose

Painful, dry throat

Sore neck rough throat and horrible taste in my mouth

Sore throat for me and DD.
DS only symptom was a slightly blocked nose.

Stuffy sinuses, dry tickle throat, sore during the night, headache... three days of this before testing positive

Minor headache runny nose for a few hours.

I had covid (presumably delta) last summer, first symptoms were headache and fatigue, followed by a temperature and upset stomach a few days later.

Dd currently has covid (presumably omicron) and has had a runny nose and nothing else, we thought it was a mild cold until she had a positive Lft.

slight sore throat and dry cough with fatigue, followed by insomnia (didn't fall asleep until 6am the following morning)

Scratchy throat for me

Just woke up feeling like death. Every symptom in the book. LFT negative. So baffled right now. Will take another on Monday
