Reporting LFT after 3 days... Too late?

I tested positive on LFT with no symptoms 4 days ago, so no need for PCR as per new advice. For some reason I totally forgot to report the LFT results online. Now today I felt ill so had to have day off work, but now HR have emailed saying they want my covid notification.
I tried to report my LFT from earlier in the week, but the website says you can't report anything more than 24h in past, so if I report now it's going to to add 3 extra days to my official isolation period. Im hoping HR will just accept I forgot to register result if I can't report my LFT as starting from 3 days ago.

I don’t think there’s any way around this. I can’t imagine HR will just let you off. Have you been isolating since the LFT result?

I’d register the LFT with yesterday’s date and suck up the extra isolation days. Hopefully you’ll test negative on the day 5&6 of your new isolation period.

Just register it but when you do your track and trace form use the correct date? Surely that will work?

Do a new one and report it.
Then on your T&T link out the earlier date as your symptom I set. This will then adjust the isolation dates to the start of symptoms (original test).

You can then send them your T&T isolation notification with correct dates. To back it up, for work, you could also attach a picture of the original test.

Great, many thanks for the explanation, I'll do that!
