Hi all
So I’m day 11 of covid, and testing negative since day 7. I don’t have a fever anymore and feel fairly good.
Been to my appointment for something unrelated and they did my SATs and they’re 93% !!!

The nurse didn’t bat an eyelid, but that’s got me a bit worried?! My GP put me on steroids the other day because my asthma was suffering, but I’m not happy with 93% ? There wasn’t anyone else to ask.

I’m quite breathless but seriously I feel so much better overall

I don't understand why you didn't ask the nurse or the doctor there and then, if you are so worried.

No nor do I…..! Blush It all happened so quickly. She wrote it down and then sent me on my way.

Sometimes you don't think straight at the time, I can understand the OP. Shes asking for advice now.

I wouldn’t be worrying. Oxygen levels are not read in isolation (and that’s the danger of the general public flapping about oxometers). The nurse will have considered the fact you walked in, weren’t breathless, could talk normally & see in your notes you are taking additional steroids for asthma. In those circumstances, I wouldn’t be worried about a patient. You are recovering from covid, where stats around 94 are expected. You aren’t struggling to breathe & you are on an effective treatment that will help your lungs recover more quickly.

However, if you are concerned you are struggling to breathe, call them back. Your inhalers can be adjusted etc as well..

*sorry, you mention you are quite breathless - if you are worried it’s not getting better than deffo call back! But I suspect you’ll be told to continue with the steroids to see if any improvement ..

Thank you so much, that’s so so helpful. I’ve still got 4 days of steroids left to go. I’m breathless after walking but nothing like I was . I feel ok! Thanks for such a helpful reply
