Was told having a pcr would extend my isolation?

Tested positive Sunday on lft. On Monday I decided to try and apply for the £500 payment and read that I had to have evidence of a positive pcr so Monday I went for a PCR. I was told my work that this could extend my isolation by a day and the 10 days would now count from the PCR? Am I right in thinking my isolation will still count from Sunday and my lft, I registered the lft and filled in the T and T info.

Your isolation starts from the day your symptoms start not the test.

It’s doesn’t change isolation date. My manager wouldn’t accept the positive LFT I did on Sunday and insisted on a PCR, which I did on Monday. It also came back positive but my release from isolation date hasn’t changed.

I had to have a PCR to access anti viral treatment. The results have not changed my official isolation dates.
