My daughter’s best friend has just tested positive and therefore I’ve tested my daughter. FlowFlex clear negative but a very faint line on the NHS test (both tests done at the same time, up the nose, and read within 30 mins, she has no symptoms) Any advice on which test is likely to be more reliable? Thanks.

More likely to get a false negative than false positive. Are you able to do in the throat as well? I've read that with Omicron especially it starts in the throat.

if there is a faint line she is positive. I did two tests with my DS and had to make sure I really squeezed the stick into the liquid and second was positive. He now has a very strong positive line 4 days later

Thanks, I’ll treat her as positive and isolate her accordingly.
