Chest feels tight. Should I worry?

Tested positive on Sunday just gone. Today, feel a bit breathless and chest feels quite tight and my back a little between my shoulder blades. My mum dropped off her oximeter and my oxygen is 97 so pretty good. I've never had a chest infection in my life. I guess this is just part of covid? I had my booster in October so quite a while ago. Is it possible it's worm off a lot since then as I staffed off with cold symptoms but now feel awful.

Many thanks in a advance

I can’t diagnose you over the internet obviously but I will say that when I had covid in October I experienced a very tight chest and even the feeling of “burning chest”. They took this very seriously and I went up for checks, which all came back ok. Covid is a bit unpredictable and people experience different things but I can hand on heart say I did experience this after a day of over exerting myself. Try to rest and if you get worried phone 111 for them to make a decision. I felt like a fool for going to hospital to be honest but it did massively reassure me to see the clear chest x Ray. I’ve had pneumonia twice which developed into psychosis so based on this as well they decided they wanted to see me.

I hope it passes soon for you.

As long as you can speak a sentence and your oxygen readings are good, all is well. I have read it helps to lie on your front or on your side.

Speak to 111, keep a sheet with all your temperature, heart rate and sats.

Is there someone with you who can keep an eye on you and check your breathing?

I had this. For me it lasted a few days.

Thanks everyone. Its mainly when I'm doing anything, I feel exhausted and chest and back hurts. When I rest it's a bit better. I naively thought that if I was to have covid esp omricon and have had my booster I'd have very mild symptoms or be asymptomatic!
