Which days are the worst?

Currently on day 1 with a temp f 39.03 and the mother of all headaches.

If you have had Covid in the last couple of moths and are up to date with your vaccinations but still had symptoms, which days were the worst?

I’ve just been wondering this. I’m positive with no symptoms. I’m anticipating this might not last!

CalmDownBoris72 · 25/01/2022 15:18

4&5 for me then upwards from there.

Dontrainonmyparade · 25/01/2022 15:46

Day 1&2 - possibly 3 but then quick improvement. No paracetamol after day 3 and gradually felt less tired and more human. Currently day 8 and still positive on LFT but feel absolutely normal and fine.

Day one with the sneezing then the cold dried up pretty fast.

With Delta when I had covid the first time it was the first five days.

KNain · 25/01/2022 15:54

Day 1 and Day 6 for me.

I felt absolutely fine on Day 5 - completely well and back to normal. Day 6 I felt like I'd been hit by a bus, I couldn't even make it out off the sofa. Lost all sense of smell that day as well.

I work directly with covid patients, day 5 seems to be the peak

FunTerrier · 25/01/2022 16:08

What tends to happen on day 5 @Isntisironic1? Also, is the day you test positive day 0 or day 1?

Day 1 for me (the day after I tested positive) - shivery, nauseous, struggled to get up. Felt really ill

Day 5 and 6 were bad mentally because I was fed up of being stuck in, the cough started and I was still testing positive.

Isntisironic1 · 25/01/2022 16:16

@FunTerrier

What tends to happen on day 5 *@Isntisironic1*? Also, is the day you test positive day 0 or day 1?
So generally speaking day 5 is the worst day if you are unwell with covid. We tend to find patients end up in hospital anywhere between days 7 and 14. Please do remember though for the majority of people covid is very mild. My friends 86 year old nan (with asthma) had little to no symptoms.

Day 0 is onset of symptoms or positive pcr

Tested positive Saturday. Was negative before. So far have just had the sniffles and an intermittent sore head.

loloballlolo · 25/01/2022 16:51

So far I have found day 5 the worst then it eases a bit (still in the midst though!)

SleepingDoglets · 25/01/2022 16:51

Days 4-10 for me.
Ex had it and felt vaguely crap for 2 days.
