It's on the high side of normal. Do you have an ear thermometer? Might be more accurate. Regardless, I'd PCR him if his siblings are confirmed positives. Good luck, hope they al recover quickly.

36-37.5 is a normal temperature, 37.7 is a slight fever but as you are testing under the arm it’s not as accurate. I

that's what my DS had, 37.7-37.8. Was covid. If the other 2 have then it's highly likely he has it too.

Under arm readings are generally 0.5 degrees cooler than 'actual' temperature so I'd say that's a temperature. A better guide is, how do they feel to you? Hot?

Picklesandbeans · 24/01/2022 19:07

38 + but armpit thermometers tend to read low I believe so I would assume it's even higher so likely does have a fever.

Does he feel hot?

Could be a a chance it's covid. Covid can present like a cold for many people and it might be that the lft's aren't picking it up yet! Definitely do a pcr.

Hope you are all better soon 💕

38c is considered a fever. The NHS originally said anyone with a temp over 37.8 should take a PCR then they changed it to raised temperature or feels hot. He needs a PCR.
