If my child tests negative on a Monday AM, then Tuesday AM, can they go to school on Tuesday? Or do they go back on the Wednesday?

As long as it’s before they leave for school, they can go. Guidance is two negative tests on consecutive days.

You can begin to test for early release from
day five, the day someone tests positive or first has symptoms is day zero. You need a negative lft on day five then day six to leave isolation early. If you’re not negative on day five then you can leave isolation once you have had negative lfts two days in a row or at midnight on day 10 providing you no longer have a temperature.,

Sorry I’d missed part of your post. They could go back on the Tuesday.

My Dd tested positive last Monday. She tested negative yesterday (day 5) and today (day 6), so back in tomorrow. Day 6 is soonest

Tuesday. That's why it's always worth testing early in the morning as your isolation ends on receipt of the second negative test.

My children tested negative on days 7 and 9 respectively!
