Is the Day 2 travel test into the UK (Scotland) at all likely to be dropped soon?

Any rumblings? I live in France, a friend said she'd read somewhere that the day 2 travel tests into the UK might be dropped soon. I'd love to know in advance of booking tests for a February trip to Scotland.

I doubt it will change as quickly as February especially if England hasn't changed their rules yet (we tend to lag behind them when relaxing rules) And it can be the cheaper LFT rather than PCR. You don't need to wait 2 days to take it and could take them as soon as you arrive.

Day 2 tests are being scrapped from 11 Feb in England, not sure when or even if Scotland would.

Maybe fly into England first then onwards to Scotland.
