Hey so child tested positive this morning, woke with a slight headache which has now gone she said.
Is today day zero or day 1? When would she go back to school.

Today is day 0. She's needs to test negative on the morning of day five and day six and she can go back on day six. If either of those tests are positive, keep testing every morning until until you have two negative tests 24hrs apart, she can them leave insulation inevitably after the second negative test. She can also leave isolation after midnight on day ten, and back to school on day 11, even without a negative test.

Just done 10days with daughter. Still testing positive right until day 10 so finally can go out tomorrow to school as day 11

Did she test positive on LFT?
If this is the day she took the test and she didn't have symptoms in the previous days then today is day 0.

If she gets a negative test on day 5 and 6 she can return to school. If not, she keeps isolating until 2 negative tests 24 hours apart or she reaches the end of day 10

Yes lft positive today. No symptoms yesterday just that headache this morning that's now gone
