Prolonged fever

Hello
So covid finally got our family. I assume it is omicron because I’ve genuinely had worse colds. Apart from a fever, I haven’t really had symptoms. But I’m on day 6 now and still have a fever. I’ve just woken up and it’s 39 degrees again. I’m still having to take paracetamol every 4 hours.
I don’t feel ill at all apart from a bit feverish when my temp is up, and my LFT line is almost invisible now.

Has this happened to anyone else and how long did it last?
Of course I’ve googled it now and I’m now worried I’m suddenly going to get really ill

Thanks Smile

A fever is your bodies way of trying to get rid of the virus. As long as the paracetamol is lowering temperature then that’s good. I would call GP or 111 if it continues after 7 days though as you may need antibiotics for possible infection.
