As the title reads...

Sorry probably been asked so many times!

Son and DH tested positive Thursday morning. Both felt a bit ropey for a few days before. Daughter has tested positive this morning. I'm still showing negative. I was the only person in house to catch covid early October, delta I believe as I lost taste and smell. What's the chances of me not getting this? Assuming it's ovcron? I'm tripple jabbed. DH was only double jabbed.

Anyone caught covid recently after being tripple jabbed and had covid within 6 months?

Yes. My friend and her daughter gave omicron. The daughter works in a school which is where she got it. They both had Delta as well 5 months ago. They both said it's much milder this time.

Yes, many people who had a previous strain are still catching Omicron. It's like a different virus in the eyes of your immune system. So if you haven't had Omicron yet, it's only a matter of time. Having a previous variant might make you a bit less susceptible to catching Omicron, but not enough for most people. And any immunity will wane over time.

My son's school teacher had delta in November, but still caught omicron about 6 weeks later, which doesn't seem uncommon at all.

My DS2 and I had (presumed) Delta in October. I was double jabbed at the time. My OH and DS1 didn't catch it. DS2 tested positive again on NYE. No one else in the house caught it. Me and OH are triple jabbed and DS2 is 12 and is double jabbed. Good luck!

Dd has had covid twice in the last month or so. First time on 15th December, now again this week with new symptoms. Lft's gone negative again now on day 5&6 so back out of isolation! So definitely possible. However, although Dd had been reinfected, the rest of us have been negative so far.. it's been a week now and hopefully we haven't been reinfected.

I had COVID in mid-October and tested positive again yesterday. Assuming I’ve got Omicron this time; so far just a scratchy throat and a blocked nose.

I’m in the same boat op - ds2 tested positive this morning after we all had (presumably) delta in October. I’ve had 2x Pfizer and a moderna booster, but expecting to catch it off him again.

Everyone in my house 2 children, husband and grandparents tested positive last week (PCR) - I'm still negative 7 days later we've all been double vaxed plus booster (minus kids) so just random luck of the draw.

We all had it late Sept/early oct. DS positive again after Christmas, but the rest of us didn't catch it this time.

Yep!
